Wittmann in China has a new managing director. Kevin Wang is responsible for sales and service in eastern and northern China with the Shanghai branch and also manages the production plant in Kunshan. Jonathan Ching is leaving the group of companies after 21 years and is retiring. "We are highly gratified to have found in Kevin Wang an experienced manager for the important market of China," emphasizes Dr. Werner Wittmann, owner and Managing Director of the Wittmann Group, headquartered in Vienna. "Mr. Wang knows the Chinese markets extremely well and is also at home in the European culture. In this way, we are optimally prepared for the further development of our activities in China."

Kevin Wang has 19 years of management experience in the plastics machinery industry. He has been working for European companies in Asia since 2014. He holds two degrees in Business Administration. After his first degree in China, he also completed an Executive Master of Business Administration in Germany. "With our two managing directors in China, we are now optimally prepared to meet the challenges of the future," says Dr. Werner Wittmann, owner and managing director of the Wittmann Group. Kevin Wang manages the business in the north and east of the country as well as the production plant in Kunshan, while Terry Liu is responsible for southern China.

Jonathan Ching moves into retirement

With Kevin Wang joining the group of companies, Wittmann has restructured its activities in China. In southern China, Terry Liu is responsible for sales and service as Managing Director at the Dongguan site. Terry Liu has been with the machine manufacturer for almost 20 years and has made a significant contribution to Wittmann's excellent market position in China. In order to prepare the transition well, Kevin Wang already started in September. He familiarized himself extensively with his new tasks both in China and at the headquarters in Austria. In mid-December, he finally took over the management of the company from Jonathan Ching.

Wittmann equipped for further growth with new structure

The company has had its own sales and service branch in China since 2001. Since 2005, the company has been producing robots, temperature control units, conveyors, compact dryers and granulators for the local markets at its Kunshan site. Wittmann set another milestone in China with the opening of the new sales and service center in Dongguan in May 2021. "China is an important growth market for us," says Werner Wittmann. "With the new structure and strengthened management team, we are responding to the highly dynamic development of the market. We also have many more plans for the future in China.”
